Westminster Journal is a weekly publication on the Web. The site, which is owned by an Anglo American partnership, does not charge for access and is supported by advertising revenues.

The Westminster Journal specialises in National Security at a time when Britain, the West and liberal democracy throughout the world face a barrage from Islamist and other terrorist entities - a barrage requiring an ideological as well as a military riposte.

Writers include politicians, policy-makers, journalists, intelligence staff and military personnel. Writers are generally asked to contribute but submissions will be considered if of a high enough standard.

The Journal's ethos, Malum quidem nullum esse sine aliquo bono - "There is, to be sure, no evil without something good" - is borrowed from Pliny the Elder. Gaius Plinius Secundus, (23 - August 24, 79 AD), was an ancient author, natural philosopher and naval and military commander of some importance who wrote Naturalis Historia. He believed that "true glory consists of doing what deserves to be written, and writing what deserves to be read".

Westminster Journal articles are subject to copyright and written permission must first be sought from the Editors before articles are reproduced elsewhere.
