How the whole business of Andrew Mitchell’s allegedly discourteous comments to a police officer has become headline news this weekend is quite frankly beyond me. Cameron’s acceptance of Mitchell’s apology is the headline today on the BBC and the Chief…

Tim Ireland is an Australian blogger currently based in Surrey, England. He has set up and run various blogs over recent years including Wibbler.com and Bloggerheads.com. Ireland is well known in the blogosphere for poisonous character assassinations which have included that of rival bloggers Paul Staines (aka Guido Fawkes), Derek Draper and Iain Dale.

With a far left-wing agenda, Ireland has had run-ins with many people who invariably tend to ignore him and put him in the hands of their lawyers. These include the Uzbek capitalist Alisher Usmanov - who closed Ireland’s site down in 2007 - and various Tory members of parliament too numerous to list here.
