blasphemy2In Part One I described some of the history of Islamic and Christian blasphemy. At present, individuals in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan are facing the threat of execution for offending Islamic mores.

In Pakistan, the laws were implemented in stages, under the leadership of the military dictator General Zia ul-Haq. The Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), like the secular code of India, had laws which prevented general insult against religion. These laws, which showed no bias toward any particular faith, were a legacy of Britain's colonial rule. It is hard to imagine now that when Pakistan was founded in 1947, under Mohammed Ali Jinnah (who ruled for 13 months before his untimely death) Pakistan was officially a secular democracy.

In 1947, Jinnah said to the citizens of the newly-founded nation: "You are free. You are free to go to your temples. You are free to go to your mosques or to any other places of worship in this state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion, caste or creed - that has nothing to do with the business of the state ... We are starting with this fundamental principle, that we are all citizens and citizens of one state."

The conniving of Islamists and dictators has pushed Pakistan far away from its origins as a place where Muslims could be free to think, and free from persecution.

Article 295 of the PPC states: " Injuring or defiling place of worship, with Intent to insult the religion of any class: Whoever destroys, damages or defiles any place of worship, or any object held sacred by any class of persons with the intention of thereby insulting the religion of any class of persons or with the knowledge that any class of persons is likely to consider such destruction damage or defilement as an insult to their religion. shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both."

Barack ObamaMany years ago, a great hitter named Paul Waner was nearing the end of his long career. He entered a ballgame with 2,999 hits -- one hit away from the landmark total of 3,000, which so many hitters want to reach, but which relatively few actually do reach.

Waner hit a ball that the fielder did not handle cleanly but the official scorer called it a hit, making it Waner's 3,000th. Paul Waner then sent word to the official scorer that he did not want that questionable hit to be the one that put him over the top. The official scorer reversed himself and called it an error. Later Paul Waner got a clean hit for number 3,000.

What reminded me of this is the great fervor that many seem to feel over the prospect of the first black President of the United States.

No doubt it is only a matter of time before there is a black president, just as it was only a matter of time before Paul Waner got his 3,000th hit. The issue is whether we want to reach that landmark so badly that we are willing to overlook how questionably that landmark is reached.

Paul Waner had too much pride to accept a scratch hit. Choosing a President of the United States is a lot more momentous than a baseball record. We the voters need to have far more concern about who we put in that office that holds the destiny of a nation and of generations yet unborn.

There is no reason why someone as arrogant, foolishly clever and ultimately dangerous as Barack Obama should become president -- especially not at a time when the threat of international terrorists with nuclear weapons looms over 300 million Americans.

Many people seem to regard elections as occasions for venting emotions, like cheering for your favorite team or choosing a Homecoming Queen.

The three leading candidates for their party's nomination are being discussed in terms of their demographics -- race, sex and age -- as if that is what the job is about.

One of the painful aspects of studying great catastrophes of the past is discovering how many times people were preoccupied with trivialities whenthey were teetering on the edge of doom. The demographics of the presidency are far less important than the momentous weight of responsibility that office carries.

arab airbusIn a world where Arab countries use the Free World's courts for libel tourism to suppress Free World authors exposing grimy facts about their citizens' links to terror financing and support for extreme Islamism, the following story which appeared in To the Point News is more than worthy of mass replication round the Free World's Web:

The brand spanking new Airbus 340-600, the largest passenger airplane ever built, sat in its hangar in Toulouse, France without a single hour of airtime.  Enter the Arab flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests on the ground, such as engine runups, prior to delivery to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi.  The date was November 15, 2007.

The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area. Then they took all four engines to takeoff power with a virtually empty aircraft.  Not having read the run-up manuals, they had no clue just how light an empty A340-600 really is.

The takeoff warning horn was blaring away in the cockpit because they had all 4 engines at full power. The aircraft computers thought they were trying to takeoff but it had not been configured properly (flaps/slats, etc.) Then one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuit breaker on the Ground Proximity Sensor to silence the alarm.
This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air.

The computers automatically released all the brakes and set the aircraft rocketing forward. The ADAT crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on.

Not one member of the seven-man Arab crew was smart enough to throttle back the engines from their max power setting, so the $80 million brand-new aircraft crashed into a blast barrier, totaling it.

The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown, for there has been a news blackout in the major media in France and elsewhere.  Coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Moslem Arabs.  Finally, the photos are starting to leak out.

qilliam faqMany of the questions below may seem incredulous to most people. However, the rumour mill of the Islamist underworld in Britain, featuring agenda-driven meetings, lobbying of Muslim scholars, character assassination attempts and slander is underpinned by the assumptions that produce the following questions:

What is your definition of Islamism?
The modernist attempt to claim that political sovereignty belongs to God, that the Shari'ah equates to state law, and it is a religious duty on all Muslims to create a political entity that reflects the above. Islamists are of varying shades, and differ in exactly how to bring about this utopia. Most are socially modern yet politically extreme. Islamists usually hold some contempt for Muslim scholars and sages; disdain for most normal Muslims, and a hatred of the West. In short, Islamism is the belief that Islam is a political ideology.

Are all politically active Muslims Islamists?

No. Many Muslim democrats are involved in politics without sharing the above ideology. Instead, they follow their conscience in choosing their political allegiances. We encourage Muslims to engage in politics as citizens - who happen to be of a certain faith - representing all fellow citizens, not as ideologues with a Muslim-centric approach.

Are all Islamists terrorists?
No, but in the context of Islamist terrorism, most violence emanates from those who aspire to an Islamist agenda . Jihadists fight to realise the Islamist ideology. Non-violent Islamists provide the mood music to which suicide bombers dance. Finally, Islamists provide a narrative that justifies terrorism.

Are all conservative Muslims Islamists?
No. Despite their raising a host of other social questions, most conservative Muslims oppose Islamism. In juxtaposition to Islamists, the same anti-modernity that informs the conservatives' opposition to modern Islamism is also reflected in their social conservativism.

Exeter Bomber was Muslim Convert PDF Print E-mail

exeter bombingAround 1pm on Thursday, an explosion took place in a restaurant in Exeter in Devon, in Britain's West Country. Only one person was injured in the bast, and this now appears to have been the bomber himself. The restaurant was the Giraffe restaurant, one of a chain of 22 outlets, and it is located in Princesshay Shopping Center in the heart of the cathedral town.

Later, police announced that they had arrested a man, and also two controlled explosions took place in the toilets at the restaurant. The man was named as 22-year old Nicky Reilly, who has a history of mental illness. A police statement later in the evening suggested that Reilly, who had become a Muslim convert, had been "preyed upon and radicalized" by Muslim extremists.

The man had detonated his bomb in the toilets, and according to an eyewitness it appeared that chunks of his face were missing. Officially he has facial injuries and a "lacerated eye". Reilly is in hospital under a police guard. After the explosion, the man had refused to leave the toilet, leading to the cubicle door being broken down.

15 other people had been in the restaurant when the explosion took place. One eyewitness said he heard one loud bang followed by two smaller ones. It appears that the bomb that exploded was a nail bomb.

Exeter is a quiet city with low numbers of immigrants, and has a famous cathedral. The university of Exeter does have Muslim students, and it is possible that those who "radicalized" Reilly may have come from the university. This is only a supposition.

Currently, a team from Scotland Yard's anti-terror unit have arrived in Exeter to provide support to the local police. A team of Royal Navy bomb disposal officers patrolled the city center, carrying out searches. Many roads leading to the city center were closed throughout the afternoon.

Journal Restructuring

In September 2010 the Westminster Journal concludes the moving of its centre of operations to New York. This is partly due to England's often senseless libel judgements and partly because of a restructuring of the journal under a corporation of new writers. After three years we decided it was time to make some changes. Though we are still called the Westminster Journal and our focus will remain British, New York is the journal's new home. The...

Uganda Wakes Up

Uganda has finally woken up and seen the light. Uganda has indicated it will sensibly bow to international pressure and amend draconian anti-homosexual legislation that includes the death penalty for HIV-positive people convicted of having gay sex. This controversial bill was put forward by a member of the ruling party in Uganda. Uganda's president, Yoweri Museveni, said the bill had become a "foreign policy issue" and needed further consultation before being voted on in parliament. The proposed law, which...

Giving Mutallab seat 19A at Schiphol was a mistake that should lead to repaired airline security strategies. Homeland Security agencies worldwide have naturally stepped up their vigilance in case there are any other nut-exploding nutters out there with the same thing in...

HSBC MAKES GRAVE ERROR

Extreme Islamism - like all political movements - requires cash. Those who pay extreme Islamists are at best helping to further bigoted, Flintstone ideas and, at worst, they are directly funding Islamist terrorism. Since Islamists often show two faces to get what they want (in an uneducated misinterpretation, they justify this as taqiyya) a good lesson is to never pay an Islamist, whether you think he or she is an extremist or not. Not a penny. Remember that...

Leftist Tools

Left-wing extremists in the United Kingdom are gaining new recruits by exploiting the ennui resulting from 60 years of prosperity and decadence. This ennui is also driving a resurgence in recruitment and radicalisation activity by "whiter" supremacist groups, pro government extremists and egalitarian movements. Continuing racial and gender disparities in outcomes, mass consumerism during a prolonged period of peace, and other consequences of contrived intra-white status jockeying, intensified by the increasing cognitive stratification of the last 30 years, seems to be...
