ImageI am sure that I have seen UFOs in the past, when I've walked back across the fields from the pub. Likewise, there have been times when I've heard fairies chattering and there was one night when the wife elbowed me in the ribs for tickling her feet when I was miles away across the other side of the bed.

On reading this article below, suddenly the world in all its mysteries became all the easier to comprehend: a parallel universe, inhabited by fairies and goblins and all sorts of creatures, who we can't see but could be sitting on the end of our noses as we watch the match or relax in the bath. Just think - these wee beasties could be the reason for that pass shot down the line being called out, or your dog's insistence that there is someone in the garden (even when to mere human eyes, plainly there is not).

Only upon reading Islamawareness.net did the true nature of the world suddenly click into place for me. Here is what this marvellous site had to say (Islamawareness.net ... please forgive me for my spelling corrections):

Throughout history man has always had a deep attraction for the supernatural and the unseen. The existence of a world parallel to our own has always fascinated people. This world is commonly referred to as the spirit world, and almost every set of people have some concept of one. With some people, these spirits are no more then the souls of dead people- or ghosts. With others, spirits are either the forces of good or the forces of evil - both battling against one another to gain influence over humanity. However, both of these explanations are more in tune with folk tales and fantasy. The true explanation of such a world comes from Islam. Like every other way, Islam also claims to explain this realm of the unseen. It is from this realm that Islam explains to us about the world of the Jinn. The Islamic explanation of the Jinn provides us with so many answers to modem day mysteries. Without the knowledge of this world, the Muslims would become like the non-Muslims and be running around looking for any old answer to come their way. So, who or what are the Jinn?

Bin Laden is Dead

ImageBenazir Bhutto was well aware of the risk to her own life that might result from her return from exile to campaign to form a new government in Pakistan. In an interview on September 28, 2007, with reporter Wolf Blitzer of CNN, she readily admitted the possibility of attack on herself.

After eight years in exile in Dubai and London, Bhutto returned to Karachi on October 18, 2007, to prepare for the national elections. Now she is dead.

The events leading up to her death are now the source of much speculation. But it's now the events leading up to this interview with Sir David Frost on the Al Jazeera network on November 2nd, which are causing most tongues to wag. In the video, Benazir Bhutto clearly states that "Omar Sheikh" is the man who killed Osama Bin Laden. (watch the Video)

So what is the background to this recent interview and who is "Omar Sheikh"?

Dear Prime Minister

ImageIt is said that a week is a long time in politics but a year's not long enough.

British Labour Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, has two years left before having to face the British electorate. Born and bred Tory that I am, I should not really be telling him where he should find success in focusing his wrath against extreme Islamists. Still, it is the season for generosity, Britain is greater than any one political party, and he's been having a tough time of it lately (what with the Tory resurgence, which promises much for Britain - alas, little for him - for 2010).

All I ask is that Brown manages to achieve the following ten goals in 2008 - not hundreds of measures as some would ask for - just these ten measures which, long and short term, will likely make Britain a much safer place:

(*NB where I refer to Islamists and Islamism I am talking about the Muslim Brotherhood variety which so afflicts not just Britain but, alas, much of the planet - I am not referring to true, decent Muslims who happen to get involved in political activities)

1.      Stop talking to the Islamists

There are still in existence small, male-only groups, such as the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) and Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) which your ministers' departments deal with on a day-to-day basis, Mr Brown. These groups - full of men who are united in their goal - who masquerade as being "representative" of British Muslims and snipe at Britain wherever they can. They are not representative of British Muslims - they are part of an implacable Islamist enemy which seeks to subvert and infiltrate British life so that their tainted view of Islam eventually dominates amongst Muslims in Britain, and then dominates Britain.

Mumbai Attacks 2008

‘As the horror of the Mumbai bombings sinks in, we witness once more the lethal effects of Islamist terror. More than 100 people slain, dozens horribly injured and traumatized, buildings in flames and a nation bewildered by this unspeakable carnage. This latest atrocity carried out by vicious ideologues in the name of Islam had all the hallmarks of an Al Qaeda inspired attack – murderous co-ordinated strikes at Western innocents...

Another Flea off the Coat

A fugitive British militant linked to an alleged UK plot to use liquid bombs to blow up transatlantic airliners has been killed in Pakistan, reports say. Pakistani media said Rashid Rauf, born in Birmingham, was killed in a US air strike in North Waziristan, a haven for militants and the Taleban. Mr Rauf, on the run after escaping from a Pakistani jail, was alleged to have helped the group planning the attacks. Three men were convicted in the...

Al-Qaeda message condemns Obama

The second-in-command of Islamic militant network al-Qaeda has hit out at US President-elect Barack Obama. In a message purportedly from Ayman al-Zawahiri, the al-Qaeda deputy called Mr Obama a "house negro" - a demeaning term implying he served white people. Mr Obama's plan to bolster the US military presence in Afghanistan would fail, Zawahiri said. If genuine, the message would be the first acknowledgement by al-Qaeda of the president-elect's victory. The audio message appeared on militant websites. Zawahiri,...

BNP Membership List Leaked

A soldier, lecturer, retired policeman, trade unionist and teacher have been unmasked as members of the far-right British National Party in Greater Manchester. Their names, addresses and personal details were contained in a leaked list of more than 12,000 BNP members published online. Membership of the BNP is banned by the police, and trade unions have been pushing the government to allow them to expel members with connections to the party. The BNP's leader, Nick...

A waiver too far

US airport security is second to none. Iris scans, detectors of various kinds, pat-down inspections, screenings, biometrics and finger-print check-ins are increasingly current in US international airports. If you or your baggage have been in the vicinity of explosives or you are concealing a weapon, one or a combination of these security measures will be your undoing. Or one of the army of gruff, armed US visa officers or their CCTV colleagues will likely spot you and...

Obamanomics

Obama's economic plan is a recipe for long-lasting disaster. Keep in mind that wrecking anything, as opposed to building things, requires very little time and effort. Obama's plan is deceptively attractive, while in reality it is a huge wrecking ball that will capsize the already listing ship of our economy. Here is a partial list of reasons why. Judge for yourself. Obama is proposing a trillion dollars in new spending. Where is he going to get the money,...

Just Criminal?

The recent British Government trend to not refer to "Islamic terrorism" or "Islamist terrorism" - instead referring merely to "criminals" and "criminal acts" - is either supremely clever or depressingly thoughtless depending upon the premise they started from. Islamist terrorism - a tidier phrase than Islamic terrorism - neatly describes the criminal act of terrorism carried out by Muslims with a political bent. With this phrase, there is no need for the epithet "extreme" before Islamist (meaning...

Fine Line

There are times as a convinced infidel when it's hard not to blanket-hate Islam - when you're worn-out, angry and reading up on yet another likely long-bearded, odium-spitting Islamist radical who hates you, your family, your country and everything you stand for yet lives amongst you and lives off you. It can be so easy to forget that there is a massive difference - a great gulf called civilisation - between Islam and Muslims on the...

Saudi cleric favours one-eye veil

A Muslim cleric in Saudi Arabia has called on women to wear a full veil, or niqab, that reveals only one eye. Sheikh Muhammad al-Habadan said showing both eyes encouraged women to use eye make-up to look seductive. The question of how much of her face a woman should cover is a controversial topic in many Muslim societies. The niqab is more common in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, but women in much of the Muslim Middle East wear a headscarf...

King Never Asked…

CNN's king of the talk-show hosts and the icon of one of the major television networks, Larry King, hosted an interview on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 with the devil himself.  Many Iranians felt completely betrayed by Mr. King's line of questioning. They felt that Mr. King was missing key questions. I am not advocating a hostile interview here, but how could Mr. King allow Ahmadinejad to easily dance away. It seemed he was deliberately making Ahmadinejad...

It is an HT internal email to the "internal HT list".  In the email, HT congratulates itself on being able to raise 20,000 Bengalis to rallies in spite of the fact that a game of scrabble on the streets of over-populated Dhakar, Bangladesh would draw in more if all could see the board. Bakri’s daughter a Pole Dancer!

THE daughter of hate cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed is a POLE DANCER, The Sun can reveal. Busty Yasmin Fostok, 27, leads a secret life after rebelling against her fanatical Muslim dad - who rants against Western "depravity". She has performed in London pole dancing bars and gyrated half-naked in cages at club nights. And she admitted: "I'm willing to go topless if the venue is right." Yasmin, a party-loving girl who quit the family home in...

Violent Hizb ut Tahrir

A Bangladesh court refused bail on Sunday to 10 suspected members of the Hizb ut Tahrir group, which had threatened to bomb key installations if they were not released. Police said the group's members had said in faxed messages that they would launch bomb and grenade attacks unless the detainees were freed without delay. One fax was received at the police commissioner's office in Rajshahi on Saturday evening. Similar messages were sent to several police headquarters...

Pakistan Marriot Bomb

British Airways has halted all flights to Pakistan following the bombing of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, a spokesman for the airline has confirmed this morning. "We have temporarily suspended our flight operations in Pakistan following Saturday's suicide attack," Sohail Rehman, a spokesman for British Airways, said. The last flight from London to Islamabad, the only destination served by the airline in Pakistan, operated yesterday. It departed as rescuers picked their way through the smouldering ruins of the hotel,...

America Wins Ryder

Nine years, three defeats, two wipeouts and one absent superstar since the last time it belonged to the United States, the Ryder Cup changed hands Sunday at Valhalla Golf Club, where the routine cheer was just as unexpected as the outcome. "Red, white, Boo!" For sure, the homespun Boo Weekley inspired the U.S. team and its fans, but it still wasn't easy coming up with a blueprint for success that didn't include top-ranked Tiger Woods - who is recovering from season-ending...

Ban Tablighi Jamaat?

Following the airline liquid bomb plot convictions this week the spotlight has once again fallen on the secret, shadowy Muslim sect Tablighi Jamaat with certain politicians in Britain asking the question this weekend whether they merit a ban. Waheed Zaman frequently attended Tablighi Jamaat meetings near his home in...
